Crisis response is essential — but response alone cannot break cycles of harm.

Why We Exist

Singapore has a strong crisis response and survivor support systems. However, a critical gap remains in early, voluntary, and non-stigmatising engagement of men who are struggling before situations reach statutory or crisis thresholds.

The Current Reality

  • Reported family violence cases continue to rise
  • Many interventions are activated after escalation, limiting prevention opportunities
  • Without early engagement, cycles of harm repeat
  • Responsibility for safety and repair remains uneven

What Is Needed

  • Earlier, voluntary pathways for men to seek support
  • Violence prevention that includes men’s mental health and emotional regulation
  • Community spaces that reinforce accountability and non-violence
  • Male ally cultures that model responsibility and challenge harmful norms
  • Men must be part of the solution in order to break the cycle of harm
